This raw mochi is made by mixing sun-dried black rice grown naturally in Hino City, Tokyo, without the use of pesticides or fertilizers, with polished black rice. It is bite-sized and easy to eat, making it a great snack or breakfast. Grill both sides over low heat until the mochi puffs up, and serve simply with soy sauce. You can also have it as azuki bean zenzai, or sprinkle with soybean flour, etc. The aroma of black rice and the crunchy texture of the black rice broth in the smooth texture make this a irresistible dish.
