They are iconic figures who continue to attract us, who dreamed big dreams and sowed seeds in the world. Two people who upheld the ideals of peace and independence. One day, I found a collage on the internet of these two people facing each other with guitars in their hands. A dreamlike scene that appeals to positivity beyond borders and language barriers. I thought that the fact that this did not actually happen was what made it so creative and interesting. And positivity should be linked together. I asked GENTA, an artist who shared that feeling, to paint a canvas using it as a motif. In this way, I think that the two people who would never have met in reality were connected in one space and resonated more with each other.
I hope that this session of this painting will create a wonderful groove for whoever gets it.

A painter based in Kushiro, Hokkaido. He creates many works with strong messages, mainly focusing on black culture. He energetically performs live paintings all over the country, and continues to create works that are full of presence with a sense of groove and strength honed on the streets. During his stay at LIKE THIS STUDIO, he suddenly picked up his guitar and sang BLACK BIRD by the BEATLES, which is a good memory.
